How can you decide what to plant in your garden, what to sow, if you don't know what you want to reap. Take some time to decide what is the ideal you. In The Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens, old Scrooge got to hear what people really thought about him and it literally scared the Hell out of him. What would you like people to say about you, both while you are around and after you are gone? What kind of person do you want to be. What legacy do you want to leave behind? What effect do you want to have on your immediate circle of influence, your extended circle of influence, your neighborhood, your community, your country, your world, your generation? How long do you want to live, what kind of health do you want to have? Get a pencil (with an eraser) and some large sheets of paper and start writing. Don't be afraid to change anything. Go beyond, way beyond what you currently think is possible and be brave. Have faith in yourself and in your God. Title the page "The Ideal Me" and start writing.
Note: It was 24 years ago today that my father passed away. I still miss him. I love you Dad!
